This course explains the installation, configuration and use of Packeteer’s ReportCenter Version 3 reporting application. It starts by introducing the use, architecture and features of ReportCenter before detailing installation considerations and initial configuration options. It then concentrates on the configuration of the ReportCenter Server, Configuration Agents and general administration. Finally, the use and interpretation of Queries, Reports, and the integration of Flow Detail Records (FDR) Reports are examined before explaining how to create customized Reports and Query templates. Delegates will gain extensive hands-on experience of the ReportCenter User Web Portal and the Administration Console to configure the various ReportCenter elements and generate Reports, FDR Reports and Queries.
Prerequisites: Students must have practical experience of using the PacketShaper browser interface, particularly of the Reporting tools. Familiarity of the concepts and use of such tools as the Response Time Management (RTM) variables and other performance related metrics will be a definite advantage.
